Here are the details for the Nutrition Challenge that starts April 1. 

The object is to develop sustainable healthy habits through your custom plan which will help you reach your goals.  The more people join, the bigger the cash out to the winners.  Participants scores will be shown on the leaderboard within the Marcostax app.  The top scores (men and women) will win. 

Points can be earned by:

➡️ Logging body fat  - 5 pts

➡️ Logging measurements – 5 pts

➡️ Logging a weigh in – 5 pts

➡️ Logging a workout – 5 pts

➡️ Logging a recipe – 5 pts

➡️ Hit all three “green thumbs” on the weekend – 40 pts

➡️ Hit fat target on the weekend – 20 pts

➡️ Hit protein target on the weekend – 20 pts

➡️ Logging food on the weekend – 10 pts

➡️ Hit all three green thumbs – 20 pts

➡️ Hit fat target – 10 pts

➡️ Hit protein target – 10 pts

➡️ Hit carbohydrate target – 10 pts

➡️ Hit calorie target – 10 pts

➡️ Logging food – 5pts

➡️ Start a new app session – 5 pts

**Participants weights, and measurements are not visible to the group. Only your score is visible. 

Each person will get a custom plan when you set up the app.  You will be asked questions about your age, sex, height, weight, daily activity levels, goals, history of recent calorie restriction, and how many times a day you like to eat.  The app contains hundreds of recipes and allows you to add your own.  It also contains a bar code scanner which makes things much easier to log.  There are also many restaurant items from large chains within the app so if you eat out you can still log your food with ease.  The app also allows you to designate workout days vs non workout days so your macros (protein, fat carbs) are adjusted automatically.  You can also easily copy meals from one day to another if you are someone who eats the same things frequently. Additionally, the app has great support, "Stax Chat," if you have questions.  But the best part, in our opinion, is that it is not a super low cal diet (weight loss mode).  This is about sustainability because what is the point of a starvation diet and weight loss (which would be both fat and precious muscle) if you can't maintain it? 

We are all here, in the gym, for the same reason.  We all want to be the best version of ourselves and like it or not nutrition is a big part of the picture.  So let’s have some fun with this in our effort to reach our goals.  Oh and summer is coming....  😜  #beachbod2024
