My husband and I have owned Interchange Athletics since the beginning in 2015. We are probably not the kind of people you would expect to own a functional fitness gym. We are not competitive Crossfitters. We aren’t big body builders. We are ordinary people who love this community and have one mission and that is to change the lives and health of the people within our community. I am not a coach, only the owner. I leave that to the talented and passionate coaches I hire. I personally started my own fitness journey very late in life. I was the kid in middle school who dreaded PE class and was always picked last on teams. I HATED anything sports or physical activity. Never in a million years would I have been able to predict where life was headed for me. I share my personal story because I know I am not alone. So now here I am 50+ years old and absolutely loving this thing we call fitness. I do it because of the way it makes me FEEL. It helps me deal with stress and get better sleep. It gives me more energy, more mobility, more flexibility, more happiness, and more confidence. The feeling of the community within the gym is so powerful and important to human lifespan. (Yes, studies have actually proven this.) And I know that I am helping to set myself up for many years of being able to play with grandkids, when they come, travel the world, carry my own groceries and remain independent for decades to come…. The list is endless. This is what I want for my future and I am working towards it. What do you want for your future? What do you want to be able to do? What is your plan? Our gym is fully equipped to support your fitness journey, whether you’re focusing on strength training, functional fitness, or mobility work. We have a large rig, TRX straps, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, rowing machines, assault bikes, spin bikes, and GHD machines for well-rounded training. For recovery and mobility, we provide foam rollers, resistance bands, and stretching equipment. Whatever your goals, we have the tools to help you succeed.
